I could have quite happily murdered the people upstairs last night, they decided to have a party...Who the heck parties on a Thursday?
I could hear them in the kitchen (a whole two floors below them), and ever so wonderfully my bedroom is directly below their living room, so all I could hear all night was *thud thud thud gigglefit* some girl FAILING at playing hard to get (I could hear every word! *insert that OMG NOOOO emote from Gaia here*) *thud thud thud* Several people slagging off the only sane people on my course *thud thud thud* all with a delightful background of shitty Rn'B :(
Somehow Maryleese slept through ALL OF THIS! Am I just being a fail student or something???
I am total fail at researching and not getting distracted, I spent the morning in the librarry looking at the magazines and getting totally side tracked by articles about the Pre-Raphelite Botherhood (which I suppose was kind of relevent because Rossetti is my chosen artist for the other project I'm doing), weird resturants, an advert with the guy who writes the weird stories on the back of the innocent smoothie bottles (he's totally brainwashed me on more that one occasion because I'm a simple creature that likes something good to drink and something funny to read), and the most fabulous headwear...
One of them was an article about how it's the 200th Anneversary of the birth of Tennyson and that a drama group have made a film about the Lady of Shalott (This is my favorite poem in the world EVER! We read it for English when I was in year 5 and it inspired me even then, there's probably a few dozen shitty drawings of her that I did ELEVEN YEARS AGO still kicking around my bedroom somewhere). I have to have this DVD! Damn damn damn I need a lottery win or something the ammount of stuff I want right now :( I wonder if I could get it re-imbursed if I say it's research? lol
And then there's this exhibition in Manchester I'd kill (I mean ACTUALLY KILL with my bare hands and everything) to go see of jewellry inspired by Pre-Raphillite paintings, but it's only on for a few more weeks and the online shop doesn't have the catalouge for it...Fail Whales on toast :(
Speaking of things that sparkle...I also got a bit side tracked by an article about Louis Mariette who makes the most fabulous hats and tiaras, mind you I would need a lottery win for those :(
He does these two tiaras called "Louise" and "Alexandria", when I'm rich and famous I shall have them both!
I've made the probably quite stupid mistake of adding him on IQONS...
I also had a moment of "WOW! It's a small world after all!" I was flicking through a book of textile artists when I found this woman called Jane Poulton and I was like "I know that name...Where the heck do I know that name from?" Then turned the page to find a bunch of the prints that are on Kev's bathroom wall!
