ARGH WASTE!

alexandriawebI had the most terrorfying lecture today.
Did you know 40 million tons of textiles are wasted every year?
That's scary.
Why aren't there more textile recycling bins about? Yes I charity shop things I've outgrown or I'm sick of, but sometimes things are beyond repair but they can still be used.
For example:
Trousers and skirts can be used to make insulation materials.
Woolen garments can have the fiblres reclaimed.
Cotton and slik can be used in paper manufacture.
It's all just insane all this waste, aaaaand I still get singgered at by certain people studying (HAR DE HARRRRRRRR) Fashion Design and are funded by "daddy" because half my wardrobe is second hand.
Morons.
